10 Best Places To Visit In Egypt
#1
Giza Necropolis Egypt
Seeing the Egyptian pyramids feels surreal. Make sure to touch some pyramid blocks and stand on them! You’ll be amazed and wonder how the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids. No one knows for sure, and you’ll know why when you see them in person!

#2
Al Sahaba Mosque Sharm el-Sheikh
Seeing the beautiful Al Sahaba Mosque is such a magical experience! It feels like being in some fairytale Princess-Prince cartoons or movies!
For me, this is the most magnificent mosque I have seen in Egypt.
There are small stores to shop and eat nearby, so you can walk around after taking pictures and appreciating its beauty. We visited almost at sunset to see the view at night as well, it’s still very beautiful.

Dahab
Traveling to Dahab was a surprise for me! This is the most relaxing experience we’ve had in Egypt. I highly recommend going to Ali Baba Restaurant located in Masbat Bay, Dahab Egypt.
This restaurant has such a relaxing and peaceful view serving fresh and delicious seafood we’ve enjoyed a lot.
This is the best restaurant we’ve eaten in Egypt because of its serene atmosphere. Just look at that water ~so nice!
It’s hard to forget seeing such clear blue-green beach feeling the fresh breeze by the water while eating delicious food, and just relaxing sitting down on a comfortable pillow couch. It’s one of my favorite experiences in Egypt.

#4
Saint Catherine’s Monastery
Located at the foot of Mount Sinai. It’s a must-see in Egypt as Mount Sinai is believed to be where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God as written in the bible. Make sure to see the holy burning bush (believed where the bush burned without being consumed by the flames and that is to be in this area). I found visiting this place worth the visit as I could feel the presence of the Christian religion and observe religious icons and art pieces.

#5
Great Sphinx
Located on the Giza Plateau near Cairo, Egypt. This Egyptian iconic monument is believed to be a sign of royal power and protection with the body of a lion and the head of a human.
Do NOT forget to take many photos here at the side and front view of the monument with the pyramids in the background as it’s one the most famous and recognizable attractions in Egypt.
It’s very intriguing yet fascinating to learn about Egyptian history as our guide would tell us the theories, legends, and mysteries about each attraction site we visited. You’ll know why when you see them in person.

#6
Saladin Citadel of Cairo
You cannot miss this landmark in Cairo! We enjoyed touring the place both internally and externally as there were other structures and views to see around here. It’s nice to have a tour guide giving us a bit of information to learn from and I found it interesting to discover its rich history and especially to appreciate Ottoman architecture as we visited this famous tourist destination site.
There are many photo spots around here both inside and outside. You can almost see some part of the city view of Cairo from the top and it’s a nice photo opportunity.

#7
Salah El-Din Castle – Pharaoh’s Island Castle
Seeing the Castle of Saladin, Pharaoh’s Island from afar and in person feels like being in an ancient painting, cartoon or movies.
Located on an island in the northern part of the Gulf of Aqaba, near the coast of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. It’s worth seeing the castle on a small island known as Pharaoh’s Island and learning a bit about its historical significance as well as observing how well-preserved the architecture. Tourists can visit by boat from the town of Taba in Egypt and explore the place and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area!
#8
Pyramid of Djoser in Saqqara
Also known as the Step Pyramid, it’s located in the Saqqara necropolis near Cairo, Egypt. Notice how it’s constructed differently and composed of six mastabas (exhibiting its stepped exterior). Visit and see it in person and learn about the architectural innovation of ancient Egyptian monuments.
We got to see a donkey here, and because it’s my first time to see one, I took a picture with it smiling ~so cute. I would only read/see donkeys in the bible and see images of donkeys in movies and paintings, so seeing one in person and up close made me excited.

#9
Church of Abu Serga – St. Sergius and Bacchus Church
The church is located in the district of Coptic Cairo.
I found it worth visiting the Church of Abu Serga, also known as the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus, because of its religious significance.
It’s where it’s believed the Holy Family stayed and rested in Egypt when they escaped from King Herod.
Because I visited this holy church, I bought a painting in Egypt where Mama Mary carries baby Jesus riding on a donkey while St. Joseph at her side holding the rope attached to the donkey (I bought the painting that lights up at night as a remembrance of my Egypt Trip)

#10
The Ancient City of Memphis, Egypt
Discover and see the statues and explore the remains and ruins of palaces and buildings here.
The ancient city of Memphis was the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. It’s located in Mit Rahinah, just south of Cairo.
I was amazed seeing the enormous statue of Colossus of Ramses II. What an impressive sculpture! Even if not the whole parts remained, notice every detail as it’s fascinating to see how massive it is and how they made it during ancient times.
I can honestly say it’s worth getting a glimpse of the magnificence of ancient Egypt when visiting this place.
Explore the Egyptian museum if you have more time as there is more to discover.
