1. Explore the Herzog-Friedrich-Strasse Innsbruck Old Town
Tip: Plan to be dropped off here or around this area. There are already a lot to explore nearby. All the images I will share below are all walking distance from this place.
2. Appreciate the view at Inn Bridge
Tip: Spend a bit more time here as it’s beautiful. Admire the colorful houses with the mountain and river view
3. Wander through Maria Theresien Street
Tip: There are many stores and shops you can explore around here.
4. Take photos of the brightly colorful buildings
Tip: You can find lots of places to eat around here. There’s McDonalds behind me. We were trying to save money so we ate there haha ~ the things we do when traveling on a budget ~
5. Discover the Golden Roof
Tip: This is located just right in front of the Innsbruck City Tower (Stadturm).
6. Enjoy the rooftop view from the City Tower (Stadturm)
Tip: Cost almost $5 USD to see Innsbruck from the rooftop view. Must have comfortable shoes ~ Please note and be aware that you must climb 133 steps as there’s no elevator.
7. Admire the Helbinghaus
Tip: Want to see an “icing-like on a wedding cake” building? Stop by and notice the exterior front work, doesn’t it look like on a wedding cake? This is located across the Golden Roof in the Old Town. This building looks beautiful in person.
8. Visit Hofburg
Tip: Admire this historical site found along the street
9.Enjoy serenity at Salskirche (Hospital Church)
Tip: Have a peaceful atmosphere at this lovely little pink church found on Maria-Theresien-Strasse near the St Anna’s monument
10. Taste some traditional Austrian flavored ice cream
Tip: Politely ask if they give sample tastes ~ try/have a bit of sample first before you choose what to get
11. Explore shopping stores and buy Austrian souvenirs
12. Watch Tyrolean folk show at Landestheater
Tip: Book in advance. Experience authentic Austrian culture and enjoy Tyrolean music and folk dance entertainment during the evening show. Please note ~Free welcome drink ~ You have an option to upgrade for three-course classic Austrian food like wiener schnitzel and apple strudel
